Orbital, Nodal, Apsidal, and Ideal Frames for Perturbed Kepler Motions

EasyChair Preprint 15619

2 pagesDate: December 23, 2024

Abstract

The advantages of Hansen's ideal frames over other frames associated to the orbital plane, as the nodal or apsidal moving frames, are discussed. It is shown that they stem from the simplified form of the variation equations in the ideal frame, which releases them from the appearance of inertia terms

Keyphrases: Special perturbations, ideal frames, moving frames, perturbed Kepler motion
