Why Submit?Why Submit?
For successfully introducing Multi-Robot Systems (MRS) in real-world fields—e.g., construction, agriculture, healthcare, etc.—there is a need to address more complex and intelligent cooperative behaviors. An additional and increasingly critical dimension of this challenge lies in heterogeneity: the coordination of diverse robotic platforms (ground, aerial, marine, etc.), each with different capabilities, dynamics, and sensing modalities. Heterogeneous MRS promise enhanced robustness, flexibility, and task performance, but also raise unique control, planning, and communication challenges that remain open.
This 2nd workshop on Real-World Challenges in Multi-Robot Cooperation aims to address questions such as: how do we move from simple tasks to intelligent, cooperative missions among heterogeneous robots? What are the new frontiers and key challenges in this context? The objective is to collectively explore novel applications in which heterogeneous MRS could be developed and to identify and tackle the obstacles hindering their broader deployment in real-world environments.
