OxML 2026 Poster Challenge — Call for Posters
The OxML 2026 Poster Challenge will take place during the Oxford Machine Learning Summer School (OxML)
Dates: 10–18 July 2026
Location: Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford
OxML is an international machine learning summer school bringing together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry. The Poster Challenge is designed to showcase high-quality research and applied work across Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, while fostering discussion and feedback within the OxML community.
Tracks
Submissions must be made to one of the following tracks:
- MLx Health & Bio
Machine learning research and applications in healthcare, medicine, and the life sciences.
- MLx Representation Learning & Generative AI
Advances in deep learning, representation learning, generative models, large language models, and modern AI systems.
Scope and Submissions
We welcome submissions from researchers, practitioners, and students at all career stages.
Submissions may include:

Poster versions of papers under preparation or submission to major ML/AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL)

Work-in-progress and preliminary results

Applied ML systems and real-world deployments
-
Interdisciplinary research, replication studies, or clearly stated negative results
Submission Requirements
Authors must submit electronically via EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=oxml26
Each submission must include:

A single poster PDF (A0 or A1 format recommended)

A short abstract describing motivation, methodology, and key results
The poster PDF must be submitted before the deadline. Late submissions will not be considered.
Evaluation Criteria
Posters will be evaluated based on:

Clarity and structure
-
Technical soundness
-
Relevance to the selected track
-
Quality of visual presentation
-
Clarity of motivation and impact
Posters are not assessed solely on novelty.
Review and Selection Process
All submissions will be reviewed by the OxML 2026 Poster Committee.
Due to venue capacity, a limited number of posters will be selected for display.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three posters in each track.
Final awards will be determined through a combination of committee evaluation and structured participant voting during OxML.
Work Under Submission
We welcome posters based on ongoing research or work under submission. Authors are responsible for ensuring compliance with the policies of their target venues and institutions regarding public disclosure.

Participation Requirement
This is a non-archival competition.
Accepted posters must be presented in person at OxML 2026 in Oxford.
At least one author of each accepted poster must be a paid registered participant and attend the poster session.
