OASIS-AI 2026 (Open Architecture and Software Infrastructure for Heterogeneous AI Systems) is a half-day workshop co-located with the 59th IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Microarchitecture (MICRO-59) in Athens, Greece. The workshop brings together the MICRO community, AI framework developers, compiler/runtime researchers, open-source infrastructure builders, and hardware architects to discuss how open software stacks — spanning PyTorch backend integration, Triton-based kernel libraries, compiler/runtime systems, and AI-for-systems technologies — can support diverse and rapidly evolving AI architectures.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Research papers (up to 6 pages) describing novel contributions to open software infrastructure for AI hardware.
- Position or work-in-progress papers (up to 4 pages) presenting early-stage ideas or perspectives.
- Open-source system/demo abstracts (up to 2 pages) showcasing open-source tools, kernels, or backend plugins.
We particularly encourage submissions that include real hardware measurements, open-source artifacts, reproducible methodology, or lessons learned from deploying AI workloads on emerging architectures.
List of Topics
- Hardware/software co-design for emerging AI accelerators
- Open compiler stacks (Triton, MLIR, LLVM) for diverse AI hardware
- Framework-level unification for multi-architecture backends (PyTorch, vLLM, SGLang, Megatron, TransformerEngine)
- Runtime systems for heterogeneous AI accelerators
- Agent-driven compilation & code generation for AI hardware
- Evaluation frameworks for AI-for-AI System technologies
