Call for papers
The ISCRAM 2026 programme committee would like to call upon all academics, pracademics, and practitioners with interest in Crisis Management, Information Sharing and Information Technology to submit a paper, in order to present at the ISCRAM 2026 Conference in the Hague.
ISCRAM 2026 invites three broad categories of papers:
- CoRe: Completed Research (from 4.000 to 8.000 words)
- WiP: Work in Progress (from 3.000 to 6.000 words)
- PiP: Practitioner Insights & Perspectives (from 500 to 1.000 words)
CoRe papers are longer and describe completed research studies. WiP papers are shorter and meant to describe smaller, more focused research findings or research that is still in progress. PiP papers are concise, practice-oriented contributions that capture reflections, insights, and lessons learned from real-world experiences in crisis management.
All of these paper types undergo a peer-review process and will be archived in the ISCRAM Digital Library.
Important Dates
9 January 2026 - Submission Deadline for Completed Research (CoRe) papers
23 February 2026 - Submission Deadline for Work in Progress (WiP) & Practitioner Insights and Perspectives (PiP) papers
Submission and Evaluation of CoRe, WiP & PiP papers
All articles must be submitted to one of the tracks. Once submitted, articles will be distributed for evaluation among the pool of reviewers according to their domain of expertise and the topics addressed by the research paper (ISCRAM Reviewing Guidelines). Papers related to the conference theme ‘Building Stronger Futures’ are particularly welcome. Accepted papers will be organized into sessions for the conference that will be distributed among the tracks.
All submissions will be made electronically using the ISCRAM templates. A PDF document should be submitted for all types of submissions. All submissions can be electronically uploaded using the EasyChair service for ISCRAM. Once submissions are accepted, authors will need to use the final proceedings template to submit publishable versions (this template includes author names etc.).

For ISCRAM 2026 we especially welcome practitioner contributions in the Practitioner Insights & Perspectives track. While practitioners are also invited to submit a CoRe or WiP research paper, we recognize that an academic review process is often not appropriate for practitioner contributions. Therefore, we have created the new format of the PiP paper. More information on this format is available in the PiP template document on:
