The Asia-Pacific Society for Computers in Education (APSCE) is pleased to announce the 2026 edition of its Theme-Based International Conference Series (TBICS), to be held from June 25 to 27, 2026, in Kumamoto, Japan. TBICS is held in addition to APSCE’s flagship annual ICCE (International Conference on Computers in Education). To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the TBICS conference, TBICS is convening four co-located conferences under one “Festival of Learning.”
List of Theme-based sub-conferences (tracks)
- AI-CTE-STEM 2026 seeks to further advance computational thinking education through knowledge sharing, collaborative discussion, and consensus-building on emerging themes and practices.
- AI3L 2026 invites contributions exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming language and literacy education. This year’s theme is “Transcending Language Learning in the Age of AI: Toward Personalized, Automated, and Immersive Experiences.”
- AI-MetaACES 2026 theme is “Cultivating Symbiotic Ecosystems: Agency, Ethics, and Identity in AI-Mediated Worlds,” highlights the complex and emergent human–technology relationships forged at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, immersive Metaverse environments, and personalized Artificial Companions.
- ICLEA2026 theme is “Exploring New Frontiers in Learning Analytics through Artificial Intelligence (AI) Augmentation,” which highlights the evolving intersection of learning analytics and AI, focusing on how learning unfolds with analytics enhanced by AI technologies.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers: 6 pages
- Short papers: 4 pages
- Posters: 3 pages
- Extended Abstract (AI3L only): 500 words
