In 2025, we pioneered the launch of the 1st Iscte Undergraduate Research Symposium (SIL Iscte 2025). Following the success of this scientific event, this year we are organizing SIL-Iscte 2026, the 2nd International Symposium on Research in Iscte Undergraduate Programs. SIL offers undergraduate students from any scientific field at our university the opportunity to discover the world of research and participate in the process of knowledge production. Student participation involves the development and presentation to the community of original scientific contributions in their field of study, either from a theoretical perspective or with applicability in institutional or business communities.
SIL-Iscte 2026 aims to bring together students, teachers, researchers, and professionals from institutions and companies, promoting scientific advancement and the free sharing of knowledge, in line with the principles of open science.
It also aims to stimulate and develop students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and oral and written communication skills, and to promote opportunities for 2nd- and 3rd-cycle research development and other competitive opportunities after graduation.
During the symposium, the following awards will be presented:
- Best Article Award
- Best Presentation Award
- Best Poster Award
