It is our great pleasure to announce the 14th International Conference on Intelligent Biology and Medicine (ICIBM 2026), which will take place at Buffalo, NY, USA, August 2-5, 2026, https://icibm2026.iaibm.org/. ICIBM is a premier international conference that brings together leading scholars and experts, as well as trainees, in various fields of data science/AI, computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, systems biology, biomedical informatics, computational medicine, as well as experimentalists interested in application of computational methods in biomedical and biological studies. The conference provides a collegial and stimulating environment that fosters in-depth discussions, collaborations, and networking among participants from academic, industry, and government.
You are invited to submit papers (papers only here; For abstract submission, please submit it directly to icibm.common@gmail.com via email and follow our templates at https://icibm2026.iaibm.org/submission) with unpublished original work describing recent advances on all aspects of data science/AI, bioinformatics, genomics, intelligent computing, medical informatics, among others, including but not restricted to the following topics:
Bioinformatics and Computational Biology:
- Genomics and genetics/epigenetics, including integrative & functional genomics, genome evolution
- Next-generation sequencing data analysis, 3D genome
- Big data science including storage, analysis, modeling, visualization, and cloud
- Precision medicine, translational bioinformatics
- Drug discovery, design, and re-purposing
- Proteomics, and protein structure prediction, function, and interactions
- Single-cell omics: techniques, methods, and analysis
- Spatial omics: techniques, methods, and analysis
- Microbiome and metagenomics
- Multi-dimensional omics data integration
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning:
- Artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, data mining, knowledge discovery
- Large language model, foundation model, and computer vision in biomedical
- Natural language processing, large language models, literature mining, and semantic ontology
- Evolutionary computing, swarm intelligence/optimization, ensemble methods
- Artificial life and artificial immune system
- Biomedical image analysis and processing
- Health informatics, digital health, and wearable devices
Systems Biology:
- Modeling and simulation of biological processes, pathways, networks, and interactomes
- Modeling of cellular and multi-cellular interaction systems
- Synthetic biological systems
- Metabolomics, microbiome, and lipidomics
- Self-organization in living systems (cells, organisms, swarms, ecosystems, etc.)
Biomedical Informatics:
- Cohort discovery, EHR-based phenotyping, predictive modeling
- Data quality assessment or validation
- Clinical decision support solutions
- Informatics to address disparities in health and health care
- Interoperability (e.g., ontology, terminology, standards, and others)
- Machine learning for clinical applications, genome, and phenome analysis/associations
- Mobile health and wearable devices
- Human-computer interaction and human factors
Paper Submission and Publication:
Prospective authors are invited to submit unpublished work to ICIBM 2026. All papers and abstracts will be submitted through EasyChair Conference System. Detailed information is available through: https://icibm2026.iaibm.org/submission.
All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed. Pending agreement with the publishers, selected papers of the registered authors will be published in special issues of several journals, including Briefings in Bioinformatics, Cancers, Computational and Structural Biotechnology Journal, Frontiers in Genetics, an Genes. Authors need to prepare manuscripts in the format of the corresponding journal that they prefer, and there is an option to choose the preference during submission.
Travel Awards
The conference typically provides limited travel awards to students/postdocs; awards will be granted through either an NSF grant application (pending) or other funds. Certificates will be provided.
