ETHICOMP 2027: 'Tech Shaping Lives' Maastricht University Maastricht, Netherlands, June 2-4, 2027

Taking place from 2 to 4 June 2027 at Maastricht University, ETHICOMP 2027 will bring together researchers, professionals, and experts from around the world to explore the ethical, social, political, and philosophical questions surrounding the development and use of technology.

The conference theme is ‘Tech Shaping Lives’. The conference will focus on the ways in which technologies shape human experiences, societies, and everyday life. It will provide an inclusive international forum for discussing the human(e) factor in technologies, including (but not limited to) Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Extended Reality (XR), and Virtual Reality (VR).

Submission Guidelines (max. 1500 words, excl. references)

All extended abstracts must be in English and must be original work. Please note that we do not allow the use of GenAI when writing the abstract. An extended abstract is max. 1500 words, excluding references. Each extended abstract will be peer-reviewed. Please note that we open submissions on 1 September and that the submission deadline is 19 October, 23:59 CET.

Extended abstracts can be submitted either to a specialised, thematic track, or to the open track, see below. If the abstract is accepted for the conference, at least one author must register for the conference and attend in-person to present the work.
