Overview
7th Annual Andrew P. Sage Memorial Design Competition (SMDC-24)
April 23, 2024 (Online + In-person)
The Andrew P. Sage Memorial Capstone Design Competition is a student-focused international forum for the design of complex systems. The competition is a leading showcase for undergraduate and graduate (masters) design projects, such as those from capstone design courses or from baccalaureate, honors, or design-oriented graduate theses. Designs should demonstrate systems engineering skills and knowledge to perform all the activities associated with a systems developmental life cycle.
Competition participants in the past have included teams from a divserse set of universities including University of Pennsylvania, UVA, Virginia Tech, The US Military Academy at West Point, James Madison University, The University of Texas at El Paso, University of Binghamton, University of Chinese Academy of Science, etc.
The SMDC-24 is organized by George Mason University, Volgenau School of Engineering, Department of SEOR. For more information about GMU SEOR Department, please visit https://seor.gmu.edu/academics/graduate/masters.
